Self Defeatist

I got up today, feeling healthy and looking pretty good. I weighed myself and it turns out that I have lost 4 pounds in the last 10 days with my new eating and workout regime. I spent all day feelin pretty awesome and excited to hit the gym again to continue my progress. I hit the gym for the 7:00 Zumba class (really fun b.t.w. and we learned some dance moves from thriller!) and then I pumped some weights in a 30 minute circut. I left the gym feeling empowered and confident... then I stopped at McDonalds on the way home... Needless to say as soon as that greasy double cheesburger hit my lips I fealt nauseated. My body litterally could not handle the greasy magnitude that is Mcdonalds food. I'm thinking this is a lesson learned.

Movin' on Up... North

Recently, I have undergone quite the endeavor. Moving is that endeavor a.k.a pain in the butt. You pack up all your stuff one week just to spend the follow month (or more) unpacking. And don't even get me started on the moving day itself. I had everything nicely pack (and labeled), thinking everything is going to run smoothly. Of course, I was wrong. I didn't know it was possible, but my entire dresser crumbled to pieces upon shifting it. Okay, you got me, the drawers just broke... But still not cool.

Anyway, the point is, that you can really tell who your real friends are when it comes to moving day. Sure, you will get a bunch of offers in passing or people who decide to come out for the free beer and homemade chili, but the real friends actually show up and work! Therefore, I would like to give thanks to the following people: My papa and the use of his 1 ton and other truck, Derek, Mike, Brenda, Eric, my brother and his tetris-like skills at loading boxes into a truck bed, and the LB for their donation of multiple Sebeka boxes. To those of you who have helped Dave and I in the time of our need I dedicate the following song.

I am Official

Today I edited a site on Wikipedia. Nothing makes a person feel more powerful than messing with a site that the whole world views.

If you would like to see my power in action. I added a local business section onto the City of Martensville website... I hope it does not get erased!

To see it go to:

Attacked by BodyAttack...

I have recently signed up for a membership at the Goodlife Gym. Thusfar it has been completely worth while. I have gone to Zumba and BodyPump, which are kinda dance oriented cardio classes. By the end of the hour, I am usually exhausted, but happy with my progress. Last night I decided to step it up a notch with Body Attack! BAM! BAD IDEA!!! I seriously thought I was going to vomit! I was having war-like flashbacks of my grade 9 football conditioning with constant running, pushups, and drills. The thing that surprised me the most was that I was in a class with like 50 middle aged women, and they were all pounding it out like pros! Its a sad, sad day when women considerably older than you can kick your butt. At first I thought I would never go back (I also thought I would never be able to walk again!), but now that I have had a chance to reflect, I have decided that instead of being a wimpy quitter that I need to go back and get my butt kicked weekly, until I can finally take my vengence and Attack BodyAttack!

Road Rage Much?!

So get this! I was leaving the Lawson Heights Mall yesterday and I had spotted at the spot sign near the Tim Hortons and a car hits me from behind. I thought at first that the guy just slid into me, because lets face it, its slippery! I looked back at him through my rear view mirror, and he was yelling, screaming, and swearing left and right for me to move my car. Then he proceeded to bump into my car twice more! When it was finally save to go I made my left hand turn. He blew through the stop sign and into the outside lane beside me and sped away. Rude right? Anyway, I got home and reported him. The police officer I spoke to told me to come into the station and have a formal complaint written up. Not sure if I will...

Welcome

We have started this venture together. It is exciting, scary, weird. Be prepared for my mindless musing world.
